The day has come to know all the Instagram formats with strategies!

I am very happy and excited because a few weeks ago I shared with you a new dynamic that I began to implement on my Instagram of @thedevanshpathak , where I determined to open a window to the creatives of my team @aimagnus to be official guests in my Instagram account to share your own content and ideas.

Yes, just as they hear it! My team is full of great creatives, from the programmer to whoever is in charge of managing the company they are able to create content, propose good ideas and even manage professional tools to optimize social networks and why not invite them to share their ideas with you through my Instagram profile?

The first to debut as a special guest on my feed was @Songster.in content creator at Convert More and tutor of our top programs, with the post “Instagram Formats with their respective strategies”.

Types of Instagram formats with strategies

The types of formats are always usually the sizes of your videos or your photos.

Portrait (1080x1350)

This type of Portrait format occupies a large part of the screen and helps people to focus their full attention on the post, benefiting the algorithm.

Square (1080x1080)

This is the most common Instagram format since it was the first to be available and it certainly benefits the aesthetics of the entire feed and helps to preview with greater focus, the caption in the post and the comments.

Landscape (1080x566)

This is one of the new formats that Instagram offers us to be able to appreciate large spaces more easily, it is not common and very few use it. I recommend it for uploading YouTube or IGTV videos.

Other recommendations for combining types of Instagram formats

I recommend choosing one of these formats to manage on your Instagram, use all three, aesthetically it will not help you in the Feed so you can use the following combinations.

- Portrait + Horizontal (For video)
- Square (Most common) + Horizontal (For video)

Types of strategies on Instagram

Now is the time to introduce you to the different types of content strategies you can use.

Simple posting

This type of publication can use it to entertain, educate, phrases plasma, upload your favorite photos, share valuable information through computer graphics etc .

Each of the types of content must be accompanied by very important elements, among them we have the following:

- Long caption with call button at the end
- Add emojis
- Good quality image
- Add location
- Add the appropriate hashtag (You can even host them not only at the end of the caption but also between the lines and it will look much more Pro)
- Tag other users

Carousel publication

This type of content to publish if you know how to handle it correctly, you can get the most out of it. This type of content is always recommended to educate your audience or use the resource of Storytelling, which is the power of telling stories through a publication transmitted with an image or a video.

Storytelling has a striking and exciting beginning and it unfolds, just like a roller coaster might, which at the end has a stop. In this case, that stop can be replaced with a call to action, that is, this resource can help you persuade your audience when you want them to have an action, be it comment, download a new resource or template, enter your website and register or buy your product or service.

The elements that must accompany this type of publication are:

#1 Use continuous images (Between 6 to 10 images in a single post) 

Remember that Instagram gives you the opportunity to upload several images in the same publication. Isn't that great? But many today do not know how to use this content strategy, that's why @aimagnus and I @thedevanshpathak share it with you.

Another bonus of this type of content strategy for Instagram is that the Instagram algorithm rewards accounts that are able to make their followers stay longer in their publications, either by sliding an image or reading, so you will notice that this strategy is amazing.

#2 IGTV publication

Instagram has taken it from home run in allowing this type of content, in a time where influencers and youtubers have taken the reins of social networks with good content, Instagram could not be left behind, so it devised this platform to be able to upload videos and provide variety to all followers and content creators.

This type of content strategy is useful for tutorials, unboxing, question and answer video, interviews, or some kind of video nugget.

The elements that you should consider when making an IGTV:

- Mentalize that this could also be your TV channel, categorize your content into series.
- The production you make does not have to be very exaggerated. Keep in mind that today the casual predominates.
- The format tries to do it vertically, in this way you can take advantage of the fact that it covers the entire screen.

#3 Video publication

This is an ideal format for sharing informational, educational or entertainment capsules in just 60 seconds.

You can take advantage of it to share videos that encourage your followers to repeat it . Recommended to show previews of any audiovisual project in which you belong, that way you can leave each person who belongs to your community with intrigue and they will run to leave comments in your tray.

The only element that you should take into consideration for this type of strategy is that your video is sufficiently eye-catching and relevant to your audience, so they can see it over and over again.

#4 Stories

This is one of our favorite formats because it lives up to its name "TELLING STORIES." This is a good format to interact with your audience.

The elements to consider when making stories are the following:

- Share 1 or 2 stories at least a day.
- Use the Challenge stickers, mentions, hashtag, questions and answers, quizzes, surveys for greater interaction.
- Post stories with clear objectives (Sell, entertain, educate, interact)
