How a hoverboard works and why they are so popular

The hoverboards are one of the most popular gifts in Spain, often surpassing even the traditional electric scooters and bikes.

In fact, back in 2015 there was such a boom that practically every house had a hoverboard for children , but how do they work and why are they so popular? Let's see.

How a hoverboard works

Hoverboards are a transport system similar to the segway, although much cheaper, without much stability and without a grip.

Unlike segways, hoverboards make use of sensors in the device's board to offer greater balance and to manage their power.

In turn, because hoverboards work with two wheels, they have two single starters. In this way, each one is controlled with its sensor.

This particular characteristic is what allows us to go around in the same place or turn when transporting ourselves.

For mid-range or mid-range hoverboards, they do have an additional feature, and it is the gyroscope, a tool that will not only allow us to regulate power and stability as we are, but also according to the position of the device.

The main difference between a hoverboard and a segway would be their basic characteristics, since the latter is more designed for heavy work. To go to work, to go to the park, etc.

Instead, these boards are more than anything for children, since they have a fairly low autonomy, due to the implementation of batteries that do not have fast charging and also have very little autonomy.

How to use a hoverboard

A hoverboard can be used very easily. You just have to turn on the device and stand on it. Make sure you charge it very well beforehand, as the battery usually lasts a few minutes.

After standing on top, you can press both feet to go forward, press only the right to go left, and vice versa.

There is no way to go back, yes. Some hoverboards even have a remote from which you can control the lights. Others can also be controlled from mobile easily.

Important: We recommend using these toys only in squares or places with smooth floors and no potholes, otherwise you may easily fall off.

Why have these toys become so popular?

Possibly the fact of the popularity of these toys is due at first to how striking they are. Most of its models are extremely colorful and with stickers that attract attention.

In addition, they are an alternative to bikes, so children can associate mobility with having fun outside the home.

Leaving that aside, it is a good toy, quite fun, and although there are some controversies about the quality of its battery, today if you buy a hoverboard for at least 200 euros, there should be no problem.
