How To Make Your Followers Fall in Love With You

When we talk about community management, we all believe we are capable of doing it with guarantees. However, being a community manager is not as simple as taking a course in one of the thousands of "groups" for  $30. For me, the effective management of a community requires some characteristics that not everyone is capable of developing:

Be Proactive

Get ahead of events, be active by asking your community, answering, answering questions. Having desire and attitude is key . It seems a lie, but most of the communities that we analyze are managed at very specific times and only once a day (and I'm talking about relevant brands). A community cannot be managed by setting a schedule or setting a volume of interactions: how much, how and why your users will set it, neither you nor your agency.

Have Fun And Be Creative

If you are a squared person without the ability to generate ideas based on the same concept, this will mean that your community does not have fun with you and does not learn anything new. We are intoxicated with information, so bringing a creative twist to content is key to stand out from the rest.

In the same vein, if everything you post is super professional and lacks a fun tone or personality, surely people will not connect with you, and if they do not connect with you, you will be wasting your time in this world.

Be Humble

Humility, as in life, teaches us to learn day by day. Learn from your community , don't think you know everything and that you know what they like. And when you have a crisis , try to help and above all lower your head if you have to, usually users are right, so knowing how to recognize errors and try to solve problems will help build trust.

Grateful

There is nothing that gives you more results than being grateful. If anyone shares something, thank them. Find those users, tweeters or pages that are actively sharing your content and reward them, in some way, but make them feel special.

Constant

Try to be constant, do not appear and disappear as you please. If you publish every day and generate a lot of interest in your users, try to follow that line, do not disappear from the map suddenly.

And one of the keys to all this is, as we always say, put a little LOVE on it , feel like doing it and never take it as an obligation, because then, we will be slaves and our content will not have that spark necessary for it to work.
